"Nearly 20 percent of women in India remain without access to a bank account. Among those who do have a bank account, there are significant gaps, and they also continue to lack access to savings and credit."
The rural migrant workers of India struggle to open a bank account due to the nature of their jobs. They experience difficulties in attaining the required legal documents to open a bank account and are often unable to keep it open due to balance requirements. Common misconceptions about the workings of a bank and the fear of being duped by fraud strikes fear. The lack of knowledge and resources, coupled with their vulnerability, hinder these women's financial growth.
I’m hosting a drive to assist over 100 women in opening a bank account and aligning them with appropriate welfare schemes. Your support will facilitate the process of empowering women in their finances.
